Alfie's Story is a hit in Australia!

Alfie’s Story, the wonderful tale of Alfie the cat, “who once was lost, but one day found a new home and new friends”, has found its way to Australia, where it is a huge favourite amongst some young Aussies.

We received an email today, that tells its own story:

My name is Lisa Beverstock, and I work at Dapto Library, NSW Australia. We absolutely love Alfie’s Story, and are planning on performing it at our Preschool Storytime very soon so that the pre-schoolers can enter a name for the mouse.
However, on behalf of Dapto Library, I would like to nominate the name Mortimer.
Thank you!

The author, Sue Wilkins (and her ingenious illustrator, Liz Furness) have already established Alfie as a firm favourite here in the UK, with strong sales in bookshops and, notably, with several national garden centre groups.

There is another illustrated book for children due out in the spring, all about this little fellow…Alfie's Story - Name That Mouse
