New Short Stories - 'Acts of Consequence'

‘Acts of Consequence’, by Alva de Chiro is a collection of stories which trace the routes from act to consequence. Ranging from Samir, whose days are spent in Petra creating sand pictures, to the wife who gets her way with ‘Tasty Persuasions’, and to the unsavoury Clown, whose real character hides behind the grease-paint, Alva’s characters provoke empathy and distaste in equal measure – a collection that is both disturbing and compelling.

Alva has had several of her short stories published, one of them in an anthology, ‘The Final Chapters’ which was in support of the palliative care association. Others have earned recognition in writing competitions.
