OUR
STORY
Bannister Publications was founded in 1992 by local journalist Graham Bannister with the aim of “engaging with readers to provide them with a magazine which celebrated all that was rich in the area in which they lived”.
For some three decades, the flagship magazine of Reflections has served as the largest circulation lifestyle magazine in Derbyshire. Over some 300 editions, it has brought to life over 5,000 local stories.
Recognising the huge breadth of writing talent and human interest stories across the county, Bannister Publications launched, in 2013, its private book publishing service. With an in-depth understanding of the publishing industry, it has been the partner of choice for many authors seeking to bring their books to UK bookshelves and bookstores.
Bannister Publications has supported writers, authors, photographers, artists and many others in publishing in a professional manner, in a variety of finished book forms including novels, military and local histories, children’s books, poetry, guidebooks, autobiographies and life stories.
